Bus Accident Update

1024x1024-300x189

Brandon and Lakeshia are both in stable condition at the hospital with their older brother, mother and mentors. God’s hand was definitely upon them, they experienced no head injuries and are expected to make a full recovery. We are checking in with them every day this week.

A former HFY student, Janecia Chatman who was close to the Williams twins passed away at the hospital following the accident. Her mentor from KAA and The Forge For Families has set up a GoFundMe account in her honor. Janecia gave her life to Christ on Sunday night. She told her mentor “I know God has a plan for my life, I want to live for Christ.”

The driver of the bus was released from the hospital with minor injuries September 16.

Here’s how you can help:

Pray
Pray for the Williams family for strength, healing and recovery – the twins will both need occupational therapy when they get out of the hospital.

Pray for the family of the former HFY student and everyone she knew at The Forge.

Pray for the bus driver and the family of the other girl who died at the scene of the accident this morning. We are not familiar with her.

Pray for all youth who knew anyone involved. Announcements were made a most HISD schools so most will know what’s happening. Please pray that they stay calm, respectful, patient and trusting in God during this time.

Thank You,

Moriah
