This is a unique opportunity to directly meet the spiritual, academic, and social development needs of some the most disadvantaged youth around us. We consider this a great calling and service. Hope for Youth relies solely on the generosity and involvement of volunteers for the continued progress and advancement of its programs. With your help, we strive towards fulfilling our mission of aiding transient and at-risk youth to reach their full potential in Christ. You can make a difference in these students’ lives by volunteering in any of our programs. Specifically, we need volunteers in the following areas:
- Weekend Activities: Volunteers pick up students and transport them to the Hope For Youth activity, interacting with them along the way. This is a vital part of our ministry. Not only does it provide the youth with necessary transportation, but also we’ve found that some of the most significant relationship building occurs in the car on the way to the activity! Once at the event, volunteers participate in the activity and lead the students in small group discussions.
- Christian Mentoring: Volunteer mentors are matched with a student and will meet weekly for 12 weeks to encourage the student in his/her spiritual development. In a one-on-one setting, the mentor will lead the youth through a structured curriculum designed to introduce students to Christ and/or help young Christians in their spiritual development.
To volunteer please complete the volunteer application and return it to the address/fax number noted on the form. You will be contacted shortly regarding your interests and potential opportunities. For more information, please contact us at 713-670-9000 or by email.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our youth!
